বৃহস্পতিবার (৯ নভেম্বর) সকালে উপজেলা পরিষদ অডিটোরিয়াম হলে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে এ ঘোষণা দেন উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা বিপুল কুমার।
ইকো-সোশ্যাল ডেভেলপমেন্ট অর্গানাইজেশন (ইএসডিও)’র সিএলএমএস প্রকল্পের আওতায় ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ শিশুশ্রম মুক্ত ঘোষণার আলোচনা সভায় উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা বিপুল কুমার এর সভাপতিত্বে বক্তব্য দেন, উপজেলার শিক্ষা কর্মকর্তা আব্দুল মান্নান,প্রাণিসম্পদ কর্মকর্তা নাসিরুল ইসলাম, পাড়িয়া ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান ফজলে রাব্বী রুবেল, চাড়োল ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান দিলীপ কুমার চ্যাটার্জী, ভানোর ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান রফিকুল ইসলাম। এছাড়াও বিভিন্ন্য এলাকার ছাত্র অভিভাবক, প্রিন্ট ও ইলেকট্রনিক মিডিয়ার প্রতিনিধিগণ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
আলোচনা শেষে শিশুশ্রম মুক্ত শিক্ষার্থীদের মাঝে স্কুলব্যাগ ও শিক্ষা উপকরণ বিতরণ করা হয়।
