পার্বতীপুর (দিনাজপুর) প্রতিনিধি : জেলার পার্বতীপুর উপজেলার হামিদপুর ইউনিয়নের চৌহাটি বাজারে বড়পুকুরিয়া কয়লা খনি থেকে কয়লা উত্তোলনের ফলে চৌহাটি গ্রামে প্রায় ১ হাজার বসতবাড়ি কম্পনে ফেটে যায়। এরই প্রতিবাদে ক্ষতিপূরণের দাবীতে মানববন্ধন বিক্ষোভ মিছিল ও সমাবেশ করেছে এলাকাবাসি।
বুধবার (৩ জুলাই) সকাল ১০টায় পার্বতীপুর উপজেলার চৌহাটি বাজারে জীবন ও বসত ভিটা রক্ষা কমিটির উদ্যোগেে এই মানব বন্ধন, বিক্ষোভ মিছিল ও সমাবেশের আয়োজন করা হয়।
উপজেলার পাতিগ্রাম ও পাঁচঘরিয়ার প্রায় ৪ হাজার নারী পুরুষ ও স্কুল কলেজের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা মানববন্ধনে অংশগ্রহণ নেয়। মানববন্ধন শেষে দুপুর ১২টায় চৌহাটি বাজারে সংবাদ সম্মেলন করা হয়।
সংবাদ সম্মেলনে ৮ দফা দাবী তুলে ধরা হয়। দাবিসমূহ হলো- ফাটা বাড়ির ক্ষতিপূরণ দিতে হবে, বসবাসের পুন:নিশ্চয়তা দিবে হবে, সমঝোতা চুক্তি অনুযায়ী ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত এলাকায় ঘর ঘর চাকুরী দিতে হবে, বিশুদ্ধ পানির সু-ব্যবস্থা করে দিতে হবে, আবাদি জমিতে পানি থাকছে না যার ফলে ফসলের ক্ষতি হচ্ছে তার সুব্যবস্থা করে দিতে হবে, কয়লাখনির গেইট হতে চৌহাটি গ্রামের শেষ প্রান্ত পর্যন্ত রাস্তাটি সংস্কার করে দিতে হবে, মসজিদ-মন্দির, ঈদগাহ মাঠ এবং কবরস্থান গুলির উন্নয়নের ব্যবস্থা করতে হবে, অত্যন্ত ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ বা বসবারের অযোগ্য বসতবাড়ি ও স্থাপনার স্থায়ী সমাধান করে দিতে হবে।
বক্তব্য রাখেন জীবন ও বসত ভিটা রক্ষা কমিটির সাধারণ সম্পাদক আমিনুল ইসলাম, উপদেষ্টা শাহ্ এনামুল মাস্টার, প্রফেসর শাহ্ ইনতেজামুল হক, মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সন্তান আতাউর রহমান, সাইদুর রহমান প্রমুখ।
মানববন্ধন ও বিক্ষোভ মিছিলে ওই গ্রামের স্কুল কলেজ মাদ্রাসার ছাত্র-ছাত্রী, স্থানীয় গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিবর্গসহ প্রায় ৫ হাজার নারী-পুরুষ অংশ নেন।
মানবন্ধনে বক্তারা বলেন ৮দফা দাবী মেনে না নিলে আগামীতে আরও কঠোর থেকে কঠোর আন্দোলন গড়ে তোলা হবে। ঘেরাও করা হবে কয়লা খনি।
সংগঠনের সাধারণ সম্পাদক আমিনুল ইসলাম বলেন স্কুল, কলেজ, মাদ্রাসা, কবরস্থান, রাস্তাঘাট, সবই ধ্বংস হয়ে গেছে। বাকি কিছু নেই। কেউ অসুস্থ হলে রোগিকে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়া কষ্ট সাধ্য হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। তিনি এ সময় ৮ দফা দাবি বাস্তবায়নের জোর দাবী জানান।
